League Information

  • Affiliated to Suffolk FA and games played under FA rules (45 minutes each way)
  • Open to all players  35 years of age or over on the date of the match  
  • Games played every two to three weeks on Sunday afternoons  football
  • Home team to appoint a qualified referee  
  • Home team to provide ground, facilities and refreshments  
  • League affiliation fees (2016-17)are currently £55 (including League, League Cup, League Shield) in addition to any FA affiliation fees.  
  • There is also a Seniors Cup competition for the  over-40s — affiliation fees £10 per team by invitation  
  • For the 2016-17 season  the league consists of  48 teams (covering an area from Cromer in the north, Felixstowe in the south, Bury St Edmunds in the West and Lowestoft in the East) competing in  8 regionalised  divisions  
  • The League Cup, League Shield and Seniors Cup draws will be open and cover all divisions
  • There are also two County representative matches (Norfolk 35+ v Suffolk 35+ and Norfolk 45+ v  Suffolk 45+)  which take place at the end of the season
  • Players can be registered up to kick-off time, but if they are signed on the day their registration forms must be countersigned by the referee or opposing captain  
  • Teams are allowed a maximum of 2 senior players in the squad on a given day  
  • 5 substitutes may be used on a rolling basis
